The Key Components of Talent seminar with Wayne Goldsmith
Last week WHiPA partnered with Sport Wellington to present a seminar on The Key Components of Talent with Wayne Goldsmith.
The event was a great success with over 120 attendees representing coaches, athletes and parents from the local sporting community.
The seminar focused on the inter relationship between the coaches, athletes and parents in developing talent and their specific roles they play in supporting the athlete.
During the seminar, the attendees were split up into the three primary groups and workshopped them targeting key behaviours in their context. A large part of the workshop focused on the talent versus commitment matrix Wayne developed, giving clarity to parents and coaches on priorities and time, and challenging the athletes on to analyse themselves.
