Kirsten Hudson, WHiPA Lloyd Morrison Aquatic Athlete scholarship recipient

WHIPA are delighted to announce that a 2017 WHiPA Lloyd Morrison Aquatic Athlete Scholarship has been awarded to water polo athlete Kirstin Hudson.
Kirsten has been a part of the New Zealand in the Senior Women's program since 2005 and played an impressive 104 tests. She trained at Harwick College, USA on an athletic scholarship, and was recently inducted into their Hall of Fame.
Kirsten is now based at the Hutt Water Polo Club, and is involved in coaching all the younger age groups and is currently the head coach of the JDS (Junior Development) program. Kirsten is playing a big role in rebuilding the junior program, and over the last three years the under 12s have made the final three times and won twice.
Kirsten has been selected to represent New Zealand in the Senior Women’s Water Polo team at the 2017 FINA World Championships in Budapest, Hungary this July. Her personal goal for the FINA World Championships Kirsten’s personal goal is to be a leader in the team and help guide the team to produce the best performances.
