Emma Robinson, 2017 WHiPA Lloyd Morrison Aquatic Athlete Scholarship recipient

WHIPA are delighted to announce that a 2017 WHiPA Lloyd Morrison Aquatic Athlete Scholarship has been awarded to swimmer Emma Robinson. Emma was recently named in the Aquablacks team to compete at the FINA World Championships from Budapest Hungary 14-30 July in the 800 and 1500m freestyle events.

Emma Robinson started swimming competitively at age 13 for Wellington's Capital Swim Club, which she still swims for. She is currently training at TSS Aquatic in Gold Coast, Australia. At the recent NZ Open Swimming Championships she placed first in the 400, 800 and 1500m freestyle events.

Competitive career highlights include representing New Zealand at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2016 Rio Olympics.

WHiPA are proud to have had a long relationship with Emma, and wish her all the best for the build up to the World Champs in July.

Congratulations Emma!
